I have been searching for years and have been unsuccessful. I have been forced to buy prepackaged frozen 'ajiaco' components at the Spanish markets just to get the miserly inclusion of guascas that it contains in order to make ajiaco over the last few years. Just discovered that I can order some dried guascas on amazon but would very much prefer fresh. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am from Los Angeles so that took me by surprise but it was so much fun and every one of my classmates was covered in flour... people are use to it so they take it with stride and congratulate you for your B-Day... just that the eggs I could skip, but that the tradition, eat your "ponque" (pound cake) and wear it too. Just go to any patch of land, farm, grassy path, at least on the east coast, and you'll probably see it! I would suggest finding a farm and picking it htere, and not by the road edge (pollutants, etc) but the farmers I know would love for you to take as much as you like ! :-) mrlatanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-932416299388256731.post-20382784619522784562013-07-02T23:50:44.745-06:002013-07-02T23:50:44.745-06:00My name is Tashiko and I am Colombian American and...My name is Tashiko and I am Colombian American and I would like ideas or information that i can use to embrace my colombian heritage and put it into my life styleAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15063663659881909148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-932416299388256731.post-80480991643712147502013-05-25T21:09:04.680-06:002013-05-25T21:09:04.680-06:00I'm having trouble finding ruanas to purchase....I'm having trouble finding ruanas to purchase. They inspired me to learn Spanish and go back to my birth country for several months. Even though my dear parents NEVER EVER encouraged any of my endeavors to reconnect with my birth culture and the people of that country, I am so glad I followed my heart back to my birth country. It has enriched my life profoundly to have lots of friends from my birth country - it's the best!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02836528824736343688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-932416299388256731.post-36398068499846229312013-04-12T14:52:05.893-06:002013-04-12T14:52:05.893-06:00In my house, we always have it for dinner on a col...In my house, we always have it for dinner on a cold, rainy day.
